G'day from New Zealand

Postby Lotus23C » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:29 pm

Hi
I'm building a lotus 23 replica with a 1.8T (AEB) mid mounted.
I don't have a factory ECU for the AEB, so the plan is to use megasquirt.
The project is still in it's infancy, welding chassis, molding bodywork etc.. so the megasquirt build is a way off.
My plan:
MS2V3
Wasted spark with the 3 pin cops, I'll get a 4 coil driver board for this.
Probably batch injection, not sequential as I don't want to take up all the outputs, and possibly little to be gained for this car.
Boost control
2 wire fidle idle control, I have replaced the AEB IAC system with a valve and throttle body off an ABA.
Tach output
Table switching
Tech Edge WB controller

This is my second MS project, first was a 20v 4age in a lotus 7, MS2V3 with ITB mode.

yep, sucks. We were doing well for a bit. I guess people enjoy searching the millions of post on the megasquirt forums, for VW content.

Great! We have activity.
I'll be asking a few dumb questions soon as the wiring isn't too far away.

I am keen to look over anyone's MSQ for the AEB, particularly timing tables and experience with bigger turbos, K04 etc..
Thanks Patrick

I have not even got to the MSQ stage, need to do a full test up of it next time i am home, computer connection and jimstim it, but as i have the MS3X as coil and injector driver have to figure out how to wire it up. Glad to talk and learn. will be boning up on all of this. putting the system together will be an experience and a half.
