i talked to some dudes here at an injector shop, they seem to think that vanagon/914 ones will fit in the same holes. SO they are rated for 2.0 should be good.

What are some bigger options for injectors. I want to start setting up my type 4 for e85 and I don't want to make custom rails. What other cars used those stupid bosch injectors with the barb fitting on top? Something bigger then 400cc/min would be ideal. I like a little overhead.

72-75 mercedes 4.5L V8 had similar looking
75-81ish BMW 6cyl had similar looking
later models mercedes went to CIS and bmw went to modern style

there might be others, but thats my quick look.

I would use T4/porsche or vanagon VS. just rubber lines totally.

I want to use bigger injectors, by bigger i mean a lot bigger then any volks/porsche injectors. Ideally I want to use the modern ID/FIC Bosch injectors, but any way i slice it, its going to cost a lot more then switching to ITBs.

short term i'm going to use the 18.1 lbers I got with my type 4. I already got the old torn fuel line off the injs, tested them, and repainted them. Back when I had my 914 I just put a 1.5" section of 7mm or 5/16" fuel line and fuel injection clamp on it. no need to buy a brand new injector for a little piece of fuel line. I just wished VW used normal fuel lines, it would make inj swaps a whole lot simpler.
