CB intake ends. Exhaust pipe pipe 914 or similar center section with TB on it. 914/Bus center section: So it might look something like this except without all the crap on it.

More out loud thinking.... this for a center section How the TB would look mounted: with a corrado or passat auto TB for tps. would have to measure clearence for engine lid though.

I just saw someone suggested a watercooled vanagone intake.....hmm might be better yet. Head design where the endcasting bolts on is very much like a T1 T1 T4

For more of a standard look...ITB's that include the injector bung. Much simpler & much $$ too.
those are nice, but like you said $! Cb or webers look nice and are around 580 a pair.

So i found some watercooled bus manifolds today and tried them on the mock motor.
The intake ports are HUGE, easily fitting some D port etc modified heads. Due to the angle, they cannot be used on a T3 with stock tins. Ill be messing with them shortly to see how much cutting is feasible so i know if they are even useable at all. FOR SURE they wont work if you want to run the stock oil cooler.
On a brighter side, they look like with a modified set of tubes, the 'endcastings' would be great for high flow on a T1 upright motor vs mexibeetle ends.
