I'm converting a 1990 VW GTI (8 valve) to run on MS1-extra. Will the Digifant "transistorized" ignition coil work when triggered by megasquirt?

I don't know how this coil differs from a standard coil, that's why I ask

I dont know the exact answer your looking for, im still learning myself, but those coil use an ignition module in the rain tray.
